 YD-2 The series' original RWD drift dedicated front steering system and a high-mount motor 4-gear transmission are installed in a one-piece main chassis that absorbs vibration and provides a supple feel with appropriate torsional rigidity. It suppresses the front tires from getting caught and brings out the moist driving like a real car. The high mount motor pulls out an effective roll especially on a low grip road surface, and it is possible to drive with a high sense of stability even in slippery conditions. A reasonable price has also been realized by using resin height adjustable oil shocks and shock towers.

The most important feature of the YD-2 S PLUS is the highly mounted motor. By raising the position of the center of gravity of the rear compared to the previous YD-2 series, roll is induced and rear traction is enhanced. However, if a motor is mounted at a high position, the driving performance will deteriorate due to exits and turns at the corners, the timing of acceleration will be delayed, and it will be a machine that is difficult to operate. For this reason, the "YD-2 S" has a completely new gearbox design, avoiding high mounts of the motor more than necessary, and allowing the motor position to be selected from three positions, rear traction while maintaining maneuverability. Was successfully secured.

The highlight of YD-2S is the high mount motor layout as a results of new gear box development. Conventional high mount motor layout on YD-2 has been driven by third party conversions, however those are too much height since they just re-layout the motor position by adding high priced carbon made parts with ridiculous appearance.

Too much higher role center delivered the disadvantages on performance as well, such as slow acceleration at the corner exit, and it is not easy to drive at the competition track.YD-2S enable to select 3 kind of motor positions in order to suits for the best role center to deliver the best rear traction in several kind of slippery environments.

Inside the special gear box that transmits the drive from the spur gear to the rear through the lower side of the motor. The 4-gear transmission is also suitable for low-mu road surfaces because it has a structure that increases the rear traction due to the rotational torque during acceleration. The rear differential is equipped with a 4-pinion gear differential.

Fully new designed 4 transmission could squeeze into the bottom of motor, and it is the type to increase the rear traction as rotational torque goes up, supreme to low friction surface track. Rear differential has 4 pinion gear.

 By changing the fixed position of the motor mount plate, the motor can be selected from three positions in the front and back. This makes it possible to fine-tune the weight balance and obtain the optimum balance according to the road surface on which you are traveling.

Since the motor layout can be changed by selecting from 3 rotate positon at motor mount plate, the weight balance of car will be also adjustable to find out the best setting for keeping supreme angle and speed in any kind of slippery surface condition.

Only short Li-po battery is supported, but various battery mounting styles can be selected by fixing the position of the battery stopper. In addition to horizontal and vertical installation of the battery, in the case of horizontal installation, you can select from three positions in the front and back, and you can adjust the front and rear traction etc. by changing the weight balance.

The battery is limited to Shorty LiPo battery, but the mounting layout will have 4 different positions by selecting battery stopper location on the chassis.The layout will be Vertical, Horizontal Front / Mid / Rear in order to complete the fine tuning on weight balance and forward / backward traction.

 The area around the steering wheel is the same as the conventional YD-2 series. With the already acclaimed Ackermann ratio, the front run is brought out. Of course, aluminum optional parts can also be used in common.

Steering around are the same as conventional YD-2 series.The best Ackerman rate fill deliver the front driven running.Aluminum option parts are the co-usable among YD-2 series.
