McLaren P1 ( C3842 )

The McLaren P1 is a limited production plug-in hybrid sports car by British manufacturer McLaren Automotive. The concept car debuted at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Deliveries to retail customers began in the UK in October 2013. The entire P1 production of 375 units was sold out by November 2013. The production run ended in December 2015. It is considered to be the long-awaited successor to the McLaren F1, utilizing hybrid power and Formula 1 technology. It does not have the same three seat layout as its predecessor. The design of the headlights is very similar to the shape of the McLaren logo. Just like the McLaren F1 road car of 1992, the McLaren P1 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive design that uses a carbon fibre monocoque and roof structure safety cage concept called MonoCage, which is a development of the MonoCell used in the current McLaren 12C Coupe and McLaren 12C Coupe Spider upgrade that came out in early 2012. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray L88 - Le Mans 1974 Item code: C3654 June 15-16, 1974: LE MANS 24 HOURS. Car no.51 was driven by French drivers Henri Greder and Marie-Claude Charmasson. No.51 Chevrolet Corvette was powered by a Chevrolet 7.0L V8. 253 laps were completed.The L-88 Corvette #51, now dark blue with white accents and First National City Travellers Checks sponsorship. The fastest Porsche Carrera now qualified nearly 10 seconds a lap faster, and the Ferrari Daytona 7 seconds faster than Greder/Beaumont who qualified in 4’24”07. At mid race, the Corvette was in 27th position overall, while the first Carrera was 5th and the Daytona 6th. Greder/Beaumont finished in a deceptive 18th place after ignition, water pump, battery problems, as well as the loss of 1st and 2nd gear.With a 10th in GT class finish, they were nearly 600 kms behind class leader Grandet/Bardini with their 365 GTB4 who finished 5th. The car was sold in the US in 1975, #194679S706401 later came back to France, where its owner enters it from time to time for historic events. It still has the dark blue paint job with the Traveler Cheque and #51. Henri Greder has had the opportunity to drive with his old racer on several occasions, such as "Le Mans Classic", and "Tour Auto Historique".C3654 requires a C7005 DPR decoder fitted for conversion to ‘Scalextric Digital’ or ‘Scalextric Digital ARC PRO’ systems.

The 1988 Tooheys 1000 was a 1000 km endurance motor race for Group A Touring Cars. It was held on 2 October 1988 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia. The race was the opening round of the 1988 Asia-Pacific Touring Car Championship and was the 29th running of the Bathurst 1000. Tony Longhurst and Tomas Mezera where driving there Benson & Hedges Racing Ford Sierra RS500 and qualified in 3rd position. The 1988 race was the only race in the history of the Bathurst 1000 to have commenced with a rolling start and that seemed to be a good omen for Longhurst and Mezera as they took first place, It was the first victory in the Bathurst 1000 for a turbocharged vehicle, and the first victory by a four-cylinder car since Bob Holden and Rauno Aaltonen won in a Morris Cooper S in 1966.

The unit has a clear user interface with two levels of features to suit both the novice and experienced user. The Skill Level option allows you to adjust the maximum power levels to individual cars so that 'novice versus expert' races can be run more fairly. Hand throttles can be calibrated to equalise controller performance. Multiple gaming modes, timed endurance and total lap format racing. Ghost cars (PACER) function for setting 1 to 6 cars to run automatically, with switchable lane changing and lap counting on individual cars. Setting the car ID is easy via a simple, one-button action. This Powerbase delivers 15v for faster car performance. Rob Collard has become a house hold name in the BTCC now with over 400 race starts to his name. Rounds 7, 8 and 9 took Place at the high speed Thruxton circuit, with extremely high temperatures being experienced at the circuit, round 7 was full of incident and a huge amount of punctures towards the end of the race eventually resulting in a multi car crash causing a red flag. Collard would finish 5th. With production starting in 2002 the rear wheel drive BMW Z4 follows in the tyre tracks of models such as the Z1, 507, Z8 and Z3. Winning Automobile Magazine "Design of the Year Award" in 2008 the first generation (02-08) were manufactured in South Carolina of BMW US with production of the second generation (09) moving to BMW’s German plant in Regensburg. Again, this second generation was recognised with the Red Dot Design Award in 2009. Produced from 2010 to 2013 the homologated GT3 variant included an engine capacity increase from the standard six-cylinders to a 4.4-litre eight-cylinder unit delivering an impressive 508 bhp. As well as going to the gym the GT3 had been on strict diet with weight reducing to 1,200 kg from around 1,500 kg across the 4 models to ensure a competitive power to weight ratio come race day.
